Gosh, I have not blogged in SOOOO long! I'm starting the learning curve all over again. I have tried blogging before: I blogged about my relationship, my misdiagnosed spinal cord disease, a photo journal, infertility. It has been a couple good years since I've hit the keys. And here I go again....
Let's start with the basics:
WHO
My name is Laurie. I live in the land of beer and cheese, also known as Wisconsin. I'm a nurse working in a job that I love and could never imagine leaving! I've been married since 2010. And I've struggled with infertility equally as long. After 8 rounds of Clomid, 2 miscarriages, 1 HSG, 1 meeting with an adoption agency, and hundreds of pee sticks of all varieties, I was able to welcome the sweetest baby boy into our family.
WHAT
I have a few ideas on the direction this blog will take. I'm juggling life as a working mother and wife. An act which has been rather difficult at times. I was so busy juggling, I lost focus of myself and what makes me happiest. I want this blog to reflect my journey as I become a happier and healthier mom. So it might include daily activities, reflections of obstacles, healthy lifestyle changes, hobbies, and other randomness that inspires and motivates me.
WHY
I need to stay focused. I need to be held accountable for the changes I am making in my life. So why not put it out there for a bunch of strangers (and a few friends) to read, and ponder, and comment on, and maybe even learn something from.
